Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using Svara, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Svara provides AI-assisted, real-time speech transcription and translation. It requires a compatible iPhone, internet connection, microphone permission, and an active Svara Pro entitlement for live translation.

2. Subscriptions

Svara Pro is offered through auto-renewing weekly and yearly subscriptions. Prices and any trial or promotional terms are shown in the App Store purchase screen and may vary by country, currency, tax, or Apple pricing changes.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Apple may charge your account for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
• Billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under its applicable policies.

3. Translation limitations

AI output can be incomplete, delayed, offensive, or wrong. Accents, noise, connectivity, specialist vocabulary, and context can affect results. Svara is not a certified interpreter and must not be relied on for emergencies or as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, immigration, safety, or other high-stakes decisions. When accuracy matters, confirm the meaning with a qualified person.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use translations and for complying with applicable laws. Only capture or translate other people's speech when you have any consent required in your location. Do not use Svara to violate privacy, intellectual-property, export-control, sanctions, or other rights or laws.

5. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Svara, interfere with the service, bypass subscription or usage controls, probe or exploit the service, extract credentials, automate abusive traffic, resell access, or use Svara or its outputs to build or train a competing speech or AI system where prohibited by our providers' terms.

6. Ownership

Svara, its interface, branding, software, and related materials are owned by Svara or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose.

7. Third-party services

Svara relies on services provided by Apple, Soniox, RevenueCat, and Cloudflare. Their availability and terms may affect Svara. We are not responsible for third-party outages or changes outside our reasonable control.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features to improve the product, protect users, comply with law, or respond to provider changes. We do not promise that Svara will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security or legal risk, or fail to maintain a required subscription. You may stop using Svara at any time; deleting the app does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Svara is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Svara and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from reliance on a translation. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to Svara will not exceed the amount you paid for Svara during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Continuing to use Svara after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
